Trend Estimation

Introduction

This module estimates a trend in temporal data. Several summary and inferential statistics for trend are computed and a graphical display of the confidence interval for slope is presented. Further discussion of the setting and assumptions is contained in the guidance section of the module.

Data Upload Required

This tool requires a dataset for analysis. Please upload a dataset using the interface below, or upload one of the example datasets using the Input Data menu at left.

  • StatDataML - XML based data exchange format [*.sdml]
  • ESRI shape file - ESRI shape files can be uploaded [*.shp]
  • Text tab delimited - Data should be in uninterrupted rows and columns with fields separated by a tab and field or column names in the first row. [*.everything else]
  • Note: File size is limited to approximately 1 MB. Attempts to load larger files may result in an error.
